Driver Jason Brewer reached the coveted 3,000-win plateau at Hollywood Dayton Raceway on Saturday night, guiding Chipchompinchampin to an open lengths tally for owner/trainer Jim Dailey.

The 1:54 victory over Suncapade (Greg Grismore) and St Lads Zoom Zoom (Randy Tharps) pushed the four-year-old son of Arts Chip’s career earnings over $100,000 with the winner’s share of the $8,000 purse in the eighth race conditioned pace.

Brewer, 36, has earned over $26 million for the owners of horses he has driven. He won his first race, one limited to amateur and matinee drivers, at Monticello Raceway at the age of just 14. The Xenia, Ohio resident has won well over 100 races in each of the last 12 years, including a high-water mark of 505 triumphs in 2007. The likeable reinsman counts an Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final win at Woodbine Racetrack with St Lads Popcorn, going for a $300,000 purse, as his career highlight.
