A potential stretch duel between Windsong Patriot and the pocket-sitting Wallet never developed, as Wallet jumped it off at the top of the lane, leaving Windsong Patriot and Hunter Myers unchallenged. The eight-year-old E L Titan-Windsong Idol gelding triumphed in 1:54, 1-1/4 lengths better than Rising MVP, with Big Boy Ernest third.
