Safe From Terror won for the 18th time this year when she drew off late to capture Monday’s $20,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace.

After stretching out Tessa Seelster and Spreester before yielding the early lead, Safe From Terror roared to the top at the three-eighths for Jim Pantaleano and had little trouble thwarting the first-over challenge of Tempus Seelster. The five-year-old daughter of Western Terror-In A Safe Place prevailed in 1:52.4 over Fox Valley Charm, while Tempus Seelster persevered for show.

Bruce Riegle trains Safe From Terror, who extended her career bankroll to $853,457, for Winchester Baye Acres.

Dave Palone piloted three winners, including a pair for trainer Ron Burke, on the 13-race card.
