An incident near the third quarter mark marred Friday night's seventh race at Fraser Downs.

As the field headed down the backstretch approaching the final turn, Top Cash (John Chappell) broke stride while racing first-up, taking out Outlaw Tic Tac (Brandon Campbell), who was following second-over, and causing a pair of trailers, Riverunsnappy (Dennis Johnston) and Balare Fire Flight (Blaine Chappell), to pull up.

The top four completed the race, which was won by Yjuliahos (Tony Kerwood) in 1:57 by a half-length over 4-5 favourite Indigo Beach (Rod Therres), with Machazulu (Scott Knight) third and Chewing Ona Writer (Travis Tracey) a distant fourth.

Track announcer Dan Jukich reported that all drivers and horses appeared to be unharmed following the incident.

Campbell bounced back to win the following race with Excessive giving him three wins on the nine-race card after scoring back-to-back victories earlier with first-time starters Sam The Cat and If Only Id Known for trainer Jim Marino.
