Northfield Park hosts both the Buckeye Stallion Series championships and Ohio Sires Stakes championships for four-year-olds and up as part of a 16-race program this Saturday (Oct. 6) offering in excess of $600,000 in purses.
The eight $40,000 Buckeye Stallion Series championships start the evening’s show and are directly followed with the evening’s four $60,000 OHSS championships and four overnight races, including a $19,000 Fillies and Mares Open.
In addition to superior racing action, the evening will also offer guests a $14.95 buffet in Lady Luck’s clubhouse dining room from 6-9 p.m. Reservations are preferred and can be made by calling 330-467-4101. Guests who want to be down close to all of the racing action to dine can stop by the grandstand apron to visit Barrio’s Food Truck, which will be sitting trackside from 6-9 p.m.
Other action trackside includes a free-to-play "That’s My Driver" promotion, where eight lucky patrons will each win $100 in cash, a driver autograph table, t-shirt tosses throughout the evening, ball toss and dice game.
First race post time is 6 p.m. Admission and parking are always free at Northfield Park.
