Lazarus N Scopes Sick

Racing fans that watched the Breeders Crown finals this past Saturday night at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono will not be surprised when they learn that Lazarus N scoped sick after his disappointing performance in the $430,000 Open Pace.

After having battled to the lead during the first half of the tilt, Lazarus N proceeded to back through the field during the final half of the contest and finish almost 20 lengths in arrears of the victorious McWicked.

“I was done at the half,” Yannick Gingras, Lazarus’ pilot, has been quoted as saying after the race. “I knew as soon as I got to the lead he was done.”

Speaking on behalf of Lazarus N’s owner, Taylor Made Stallions, Bob Marks has stated that post-race analysis that was conducted immediately after revealed mucus and blood in Lazarus N’s lungs.

Marks has explained that – according to Lazarus N’s trainer, Jimmy Takter – the high SAA test (Serum Amylord ‘A’) which resulted in Lazarus N’s removal from the Dan Rooney at Yonkers Raceway on International Day never did normalize, and the infection remained in the horse’s system.
