Late Surge Gives Gagnon Five Wins

Driver Guy Gagnon dominated the final portion of Rideau Carleton Raceway's 15-race Sunday program to push his win total to five for the night

Gagnon earned his first win in the fifth race with Luke But Dontouch ($5.60) for trainer Sebastien Giroux before scoring back-to-back victories in the ninth and 10th races with Boy Meets Grill ($2.80) for Gerard Demers and his own trainee Countyline Cam ($26). The Serge Nadeau-trained Ferrari Sena ($3.30) brought the hot-handed reinsman back to the winner's circle following her 12th race victory and Mistervolare ($3.50) completed a training double for Gagnon in the finale and brought his driving win total to five.

Gagnon sits second in the track's drivers standings and has won a total of 244 races so far this year. He is currently in the midst of his 11th consecutive million-dollar season. The Quebec reinsman has won 3,845 times over the course of his career while banking over $18 million in purses.
