Heading into Friday night's Century Mile card, Stash The Cookies (pictured above) held the track record for older pacing mares, and while she added another sizzling score to her resume in the $14,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace, another mare walked away with the distaff record.

Driven by four-time Friday winner Brandon Campbell for trainer John Chappell and owner Derek Gilbert, 1-9 favourite Stash The Cookies swept to command over 101-1 longshot leader Goodbye Ceia Later after a :26.4 opening quarter in the top mares class. The seven-year-old daughter of Sunfire Blue Chip then cruised past the half in :54.2 and three-quarters in 1:23.1 and held off the late-closing Past Affair by a neck at the end, with Saphire Blue up from last to show.

Stash The Cookies' winning time of 1:52 would have been a new track record for older pacing mares if it wasn't for Daisy Corvette's speed show one race prior.

Competing in an $8,900 fillies and mares conditioned-claiming pace, four-year-old mare Daisy Corvette lowered the distaff record to 1:51.4, knocking three-fifths of a second off the mark set by Stash The Cookies last month.

Driven by Mike Hennessy, Daisy Corvette went first-up from fourth past the midway mark on pacemaker If Only Id Known (:26.4, :55.2, 1:23.4) and drove off in the stretch with a :27.2 final frame to win by 7-3/4 lengths. Senga Nightmare finished second over If Only Id Known.

Sent postward as the 3-5 favourite, the Mystician mare earned her third straight victory and second in a row since being acquired by owner Tammy Murschell and joining the Shanisty Andres stable. A nine-time winner in her career, Daisy Corvette has earned $86,602 from 36 starts.
