Saratoga Casino Hotel hosted two $10,000 divisions for the second preliminary of the Gary Kamal Memorial Pacing Series on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Arch Hanover won his fifth-consecutive race when posting a 1:53.4 victory in the first division. Leaving from post seven, driver Billy Dobson blasted Arch Hanover out early and obtained the pocket. Kiwi Tintin N surged first over and took the lead around the final turn but Arch Hanover roared out of the hole and got up in the final strides. Kiwi Tintin N finished second while longshot Still To Come took third.
Shawn Gray steered Sb Angelindisguise to a 1:53.3 win in the other division. The Joe De Carlo trainee bested odds-on favourite Saulsbrook Deputy in his first local score while Barbados finished third.
The $35,200 Gary Kamal Memorial Pacing Series Final will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27.
