World champion trotter Googoo Gaagaa was no match for his fellow three-year-old colts in Maryland Sire Stakes action Saturday night at Rosecroft Raceway, drawing away to an easy 23 length victory in 1:58.1 in his $3,200 non-wagering contest.

The son of Cams Rocket, who set the 1:50.4 all-age world record for trotters on a five-eighths mile oval in the Earl Beal Memorial at Pocono Downs in June, cruised through fractions of :29.3, 1:00.4, and 1:29.3 in Saturday's race en route to the 1:58.1 score over Brissot, Mycology and Judge Onthe Beach.

Jim Morand catch-drove for owner-trainer Richard Hans.

Googoo Gaagaa, who was not eligible to the Hambletonian, Kentucky Futurity or Breeders Crown, has another Maryland Sire Stakes event on October 27.

He is now eight-for-11 with over $600,000 banked in purses this year.
