The trotters took center stage at Georgian Downs on Saturday night, but it was the pacers' time to shine on Sunday in their first leg of the Barrie Ford Summit Series for $6,000 claimers.

Team Allard -- driver Simon and trainer Rene -- doubled in the pacing series with Rods Famous Ribs (1:55) and Lombo Skyrider A (1:55.2) each winning their respective $4,800 divisions.

The other divisions were won by: Novadane Pepercorn (1:56.1) and James MacDonald; Premium Bliss (1:57.3) and Stephen Byron; and Be Magnanimous (1:57.1) and Scott Young.

Mark Austin trainee Sparky Mark returned to the track after a six and a half month long layoff and clicked with driver Dan Clements to win the evening's $15,000 Preferred #2 Pace by nearly six lengths in 1:51.1. His stablemate, Xlb Patrick, finished second and Part Shark was third.
