Henceforth moved his record to three-for-three since joining the Andy Gardner stable when on Saturday, Oct. 19 at Saratoga Casino Hotel, the sophomore pacer won the biggest race of his young career.

Drawing post eight for his try in the $42,222 Gary Kamal Memorial Pacing Series final on Saturday, Henceforth blasted out at the start and made the lead while sizzling past the opening quarter in :26.4. The three-year-old cruised through a first half in :56.2 and appeared comfortable throughout while in front of reinsman Jimmy Devaux. Henceforth, who enjoyed a strong summer while competing in the NY Fair Circuit, had little difficultly extending his win streak to three when he stopped the timer in 1:53.1 as a 4-1/2-length winner. John The Baptist (Chris Long) was a leg two winner and closed to finish second while 50-1 longshot Favorable Draw (Brett Beckwith) earned the show spot.

For Henceforth, it was the 13th victory of the year, although the majority of those wins came at the fairs this summer. In the 10th annual Gary Kamal Memorial Pace, Henceforth paid $4.90 as the 7-5 betting favourite. The winner, a son of Huntsville out of Ever After, is owned in partnership by Kevin Gale and Nicholas Mackey.

Live harness racing continues on Sunday, Oct. 20 with a matinee that begins at 12 p.m.
