After being on the receiving end of three consecutive defeats, Indiana Hall made his way to London on Monday and trucked home a winner in the half-mile oval’s featured $15,000 Preferred Trot

Indiana Hall, a photogenic gelding who toted a 10-for-28 record into Monday’s 29th start of the season, marched right to the lead for driver James MacDonald and laid down panels of :28.3 1:00 and 1:29.1 before using a :29.3 final frame to seal the deal by 2-1/4 lengths over Long Ago in 1:58.4. Tommi My Girl rounded out the top three finishers.

S S G Stables of North Boston, NY owns the eight-year-old son of Striking Sahbra-Inverlochy, who has been a big bread winner this season for trainer Ian Downey. Tuesday’s payday pushed the gelding’s yearly bankroll over $100,000, and it bumped his lifetime earnings to $686,602.

Earlier on the card in the $10,000 Preferred-2 Pace, Allamerican Motive also used “catch me if you can” tactics en route to a two-length triumph in 1:55 for the tandem of driver Chris Johnston and trainer Jerry Sims.

The five-year-old son of Four Starzzz Shark-Moonshaker zipped through fractions of :27.1, :57 and 1:25.3 before using a :29.2 closing panel to seal the deal in 1:55. Leafs And Wings was second to the 9-5 favourite, with Line Officer tagging along to grab the show dough.

Sims shares ownership on the gelding with Dr. Paul Gatfield of London, ON. The win was the pacer’s seventh of the season and the 13th of his career. The career winner of $138,899 has stashed away close to $36,000 this year.
