Driver Samuel Fillion surpassed $10 million in career driving earnings on Monday, Oct. 12 at The Raceway at Western Fair District, ending the night with a bang as he scored in the finale with Up Joeys Credit to reach the money milestone.

Having wins already on the evening for trainer Jamie Copley with West River Kennedy ($2.30, 1:59.1) and Aaron Seelster ($2.10, 1:55.3), Fillion headed to nightcap just a few hundred dollars away from the milestone before he hopped in the bike of the Jacob Roberts trained Up Joeys Credit in the $11,500 conditioned finale.

Away fifth from the outside post, Fillion took Up Joeys Credit back while Batterup Hanover (Garrett Rooney) pitched high heat to the opening quarter in :26.4. Fillion moved off the cones as the pacers moved by the stands the first time, flushing the cover of Wild Doc Holliday (Robert Doyle) by the half in :56,1 and poised to tip three-deep at three-quarters in 1:25.

Batterup Hanover scampered away on the lead, opening up four lengths at the head of the lane while Up Joeys Credit circled three-wide and into second. Battup Hanover's strides began to shorten as Up Joeys Credit exploded in the lane, surging by to score by three lengths over that foe in 1:55.2.

Fillion, beginning his driving career in 2016, has posted five-consecutive seven-figure seasons in the sulky. 2025 was a banner year for the Mont-Joli, Que. reinsman, visiting the winner's circle a career high 363 times and earning a record $2,496,659.

Fillion is on a similar trajectory in 2026, with 279 wins in 1,636 drives, with just shy of $2.3 million earned in mid-October.

For his career, Fillion has won 1,447 of 9,441 career drives, earning $10,005,174 while batting a .286 UDRS.
