Car Accident Claims Life

According to multiple reports, an accident which occurred Saturday, October 8 at Mohawk Racetrack in Campbellville, Ont. claimed the life of a

61-year-old resident of Acton.

An article by insidehalton.com explains that emergency services were called to the front entrance of the raceway at roughly 5:30 p.m.

The 61-year-old --- a female who has since been identified as Donna Teal --- had been run over by a 2003 Kia Sorrento which was driven by an unnamed 77-year-old female resident of Oakville, Ont. The incident occurred in the round-about in front of the raceway's front entrance.

Teal had been hit and was pinned underneath the vehicle. A Halton Region Police Officer that was on-scene for an unrelated matter tended to the woman almost instantly, but Teal was unresponsive. She was declared dead at the scene by tending paramedics. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital after becoming distressed from the incident.
