According to Yonkers Raceway VP and General Manger Bob Galterio, his facility is looking to expand its gaming floor by 40,000 square feet

A report by westfaironline.com explains that Yonkers is looking to continue luring customers from the New York metropolitan region to the half-mile harness racing and gaming facility.
“It’s (the expansion is) on the books and is still in architectural design mode, but it will give us more room for table games and loosen up floor slot density,” Galterio was quoted as saying.
“We’ve also been talking about maybe putting in a fourth restaurant and down the line, hopefully putting in a new parking garage.”
Yonkers also recently added electronic video gaming machines as well.

At this point, I would be happy if Yonkers would move the starting line back to the original point. But I guess that would be too much to ask for.

It's to bad yonkers wouldn't forget about expanding the gaming floor but instead expand the race track so it would be at least a 5/8ths mile track and then follow it up by reducing take out to a maximum of 10% in every pool so people like me would have a harness track we could play:)
