Part Shark was pointed to the front in Monday’s $15,000 Preferred for pacers at The Raceway at the Western Fair District, and Part Shark did not look back en route to a narrow tally in 1:57.

With Greg “Curly” Dustin barking out orders from the bike, Part Shark hustled to immediate command from Post 2 and after slicing out splits of :28.1, :58.4 and 1:27.1 he used a :29.4 final panel to seal the deal by a half-length margin over Acceptable Risk. My Man Charley, who sat a pocket trip, was a bang-up third.

Wayne Preszcator conditions the six-year-old son of Four Starzzz Shark-Pop Art for the Secret Weapon Stables of Waterloo, ON. It was the first win of the year in four tries for the gelding, who is now a 24-time winner to date. The victory pushed his lifetime earnings to $348,910.
