Max seized the point with a quarter-pole move and rolled to a comfortable victory in Thursday’s (Jan. 26) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,400 conditioned trot.
Max had barely settled into third when Ronnie Wrenn Jr. sent him to the top. The eight-year-old Yankee Glide-Winlite gelding easily dismissed the first-over challenge of Barn Hall and downed the rallying Alana Hill by a length in 1:55.2 over a “good” surface. Early leader Spy Booth completed the ticket.
Ron Burke trains Max, who now boasts career earnings of $378,547, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Wrenn and Burke each enjoyed a triple on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday (Jan. 27) when the 13-race program features a $752.84 carryover in the Pick 5 (Race 9). First post is 12:45 p.m. (EST).
