The North American Standardbred training ranks are about to get even tougher, as it has been announced that one of the most successful Down Under racing forces will soon be making its way to the continent.
Multiple outlets have reported that the duo of Shane and Lauren Tritton have announced that they will be shutting down their training operation Down Under and will be relocating to the United States.
The duo announced the move via release, stating in part that “many of our owners have chosen to follow our stable to the USA with their horses, which we are very grateful and proud they are willing to take this leap with us.”
The release also explains that the Trittons’ stable at Menangle Park “will continue with business as usual as we work through the departure date in May.” The statement goes on to say that the new North American stable will “welcome any trainer or owner who has a horse they believe could prosper in the USA.”
The award-winning ‘Team Tritton’ has won scores of races over the years. The pair has stated that one of the reasons for the relocation is to operate in a more viable marketplace.
