Before the Atlantic Regional Driving Championships began, driver Travis Wilkie kicked off the Saturday afternoon program at Charlottetown Driving Park with his very first driving win
.
The 24-year-old resident of Montague, P.E.I. sent Wish For Another ($14.50) to the lead from sixth in front of the grandstand and cruised to a two and three-quarter length victory in 2:05.3. Westend Girl (Mark Campbell) finished second and Mothers Daughter (Kenny Arsenault) was third.
Wilkie trains and owns Wish For Another, a five-year-old Intrepid Seelster-Whenuwishuponastar gelding, who also notched his first lifetime win.
