After taking some time away from harness racing, driver Richie Silverman is back at the Meadowlands and gunning for a spot in the deep
New Jersey driver's colony.
It was 20 years ago that Silverman won the $1 million Woodrow Wilson with Die Laughing in world record time. Now 46, Silverman has guided red-hot pacer Blantantly Good to five straight wins at the Big M and Harrah's Chester. The 8-5 favourite goes postward tonight in the second leg of the Presidential, and Silverman talks about the Mark Kesmodel trainee's chances as well as his time away from racing with the Meadowlands' Bob Heyden.
