According to a report, after having not received rent, taxes or insurance payments for months now, officials in Quebec City are looking to head to the courts in order to break the lease between itself and Attractions Hippiques, the former operator of the Sulky Quebec racetrack.

An article today on cyberpresse.ca states that the city will be taking the position that Attractions Hippiques has not met the terms of an established agreement, and that the city is looking to have the lease agreement terminated.

According to the report, the monthly rent of $25,000 has not been paid since November, 2009, and more than $310,000 in municipal taxes are still outstanding.
