6. Nine-year-old pacing mare Dorabella opened the June 3, 2022 card at Red Shores Summerside with a massive 71-1 upset. The grey mare got away eighth, 9-3/4 lengths off the leader. Just before the half, Ken Murphy pulled Dorabella, following the cover of Dustylane Zambucca. At the half, favoured Mermaid Magic pulled three-wide and the Philip Desroches trainee followed right behind. As the inside field faded, Mermaid Magic moved inside and Dorabella kept right at her side. As soon as she hit the stretch, Dorabella won with ease by two lengths. View Chart
