After 2 months of turn outs and rejuvenation, Shadow Play began his 2009 training season last Monday (Feb.2)in Winsloe. Grabbing on and eager to go, we have had to jog him with his race bridle on to slow him down a bit. This has been one of the worse winters on PEI in recent 5 years, and it has been tough to keep a track good and get regular miles in jogging. Two more weeks of jogging (up to 4 1/2 miles now/day) and then some slow miles will start. Hopefully warmer weather and softer tracks will be around then.

Hi Ian! Looking forward to
Hi Ian! Looking forward to another year of great races from this talented colt. I was able to watch most of his races on T R N. You and your family are deserving of great success with the devotion you have given to the industry. Wishing you, your family, and your stable good health and success in the future. G'day Ian,
That's a lovely horse you have there. He blew me away with that HUGE mile he went at Pocono back last year and I've been a fan ever since. I've even got a pic of him winning The Jug set as my screen saver (the ultimate honour to be afforded any horse) :-))))) Really looking forward to seeing him race again. Good luck.

Thanks Jaimie from downunder - I have the same screen saver picture courtesy of my daughter. Hopefully you may see him your way some day doing stallion duties.
