On Friday (March 3), the Quebec Jockey Club (QJC) announced that Hippodrome 3R’s signature race, the $200,000 Prix d’Ete for four-year-old pacers, has had to be cancelled this year.

The 2022 Prix d’Ete, scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 21 at Hippodrome 3R in Quebec, has been cancelled.

Sunday was closing day at Hippodrome 3R and the very first race on the program pretty much summed up the leading driver and trainer titles for the 2021 race meet.
