When Mark, Timmy & Johnny McKinnon were youngsters in PEI, their grandfather, Eddie Myers, introduced them to harness racing, and they were all hooked. Their desire to make a living in the sport eventually took them all to Ontario, but PEI will always be home, and that’s why Mark returned this year with three entrants for their beloved Gold Cup & Saucer. One of the three happily took the brothers to the promised land, and it was definitely good timing for a family that has seen more than their share of grief over the last decade or so.
