Anthony Beaton and his wife Lisa are both from Atlantic Canada, and even though they’ve been in Ontario for more than 20 years they travel back for Old Home Week, and to visit family and friends, every chance they get.
Now a successful trainer in Ontario, and a man who has stood in the winner’s circle for many of racing’s classic events, the beloved Gold Cup & Saucer was still one race Anthony had never competed in. This year, surrounded by a huge throng of family and friends, that all changed. By Melissa Keith.
