One day, trainer/owner Rick Howie’s wife came home from the stable where she keeps her riding horse and told her husband that she thought there might be an unidentified, six-year-old Standardbred there.
With help from Stanadardbred Canada, and a lot of hard work and patience, Rick identified, bought, broke, trained, and is now racing, seven-year-old, Shadow Dreamer. And he’s also dreaming of what her future might hold. By Rachel Oenema.
