Last spring, Bryan Decunha was at the golf course he owns when a young man came in looking for a job. The manager at the course had no openings, but the kid seemed nice, so Bryan hired him to do yardwork and maintenance at his home for the summer. It turns out that the kid’s dad is a Standardbred trainer however, and Bryan, a former big player in the Thoroughbred game, had been missing the horses. Fast forward a few months, and Bryan - known as Power Racing Stable - spent $520,000 on five yearlings at the London Classic Yearling Sale. By Dan Fisher.
