The ‘Glamour Boys’ division usually focuses on horses like Tall Dark Stranger, Somebeachsomewhere and others that win the classic events.
The unsung heroes of this division however - the grassrooters - often go on to long and lucrative careers nonetheless. TROT found a group that did just that, the 10 starters from the OSS Grassroots final of 2013, and took a look at what they’ve accomplished and where some of them are now. OSS program graduates have been known to go on and populate tracks all over North America, and this group, who average close to $500,000 each in career earnings, just might be one of the toughest crops the OSS has ever produced.
