When Cannae Cammie was retired from racing, Melvin Segal bought her as a broodmare. He bred her three times, sold the first two foals and then sold her.
Then, a few years later, he bought her fourth foal as a yearling. That filly, Test Of Faith, has taken Segal and his partners on the ride of a lifetime, and has even influenced some of their ‘Thoroughbred-owning’ friends to buy some Standardbreds. By Chris Lomon.
