102 years ago Harry Reno came up with an idea to stage a really big race for three-year-old trotters. They called it The Hambletonian, and on Saturday, August 2nd the 100th edition of the classic event was set to take place at The Meadowlands. Over the course of the last century, Canadians have had a lot of luck in ‘America’s Trotting Classic’ as well, so here, TROT presents you with a Hambo Timeline of sorts, and highlights Canadian successes along the way.
