Eligibility: For pacing foals of 2017 and 2018 to race as 2-year-old pacing colts and fillies in 2019 and 2020 that are foaled in the Atlantic Provinces. Separated into colt and filly divisions if sufficient entries are received.

**All owners of horses participating in the program must be a current member of the New Brunswick Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association Inc. ($20 per year) due when nomination or sustaining eligible horses to the program. Payable to NBSBOA Inc. 427-32 Fairlane Dr., Moncton, NB, E0A 0B5.

Conditions:

1. Horse Racing New Brunswick will pay all expenses attached to promoting this event.
2. The purse will consist of all money received from the horsemen. In the event the entrance fees and subsequent payments are less than $4,000, Horse Racing New Brunswick will add enough to bring the purse up to the sum of $8,000. In the event the entrance fees exceed $4,000, Horse Racing New Brunswick will add $4,000. In addition to this the Downey Family will contribute $2,000.
3. Purse division: 50%, 25%, 12%, 8% and 5%. If only four (4) starters: 50%, 25%, 15%, and 10%. If only three (3) starters: 60%, 25%, and 15%. If only two (2) starters: 75% and 25%. If only one (1) starter (considered a Walkover) 100%.
4. If more than eight (8) horses declare in, the race will be divided as follows: nine (9) entries - a five (5) horse and a four (4) horse division; ten (10) entries - two (2) five (5) horse divisions; eleven (11) entries - a six (6) horse and a five (5) horse division. If twelve (12) or more horses declare in, the race will be divided and each division races for an equal share of the total purse, and the horse with the best time shall be declared the winner. If five (5) or more fillies declare in and the total declarations are twelve (12) or more, the fillies may race in one division and the colts in the other division. If there are less than twelve (12) separately owned entries, the race may be cancelled at the discretion of the host track. In the event of cancellation, all nomination fees, sustaining fees and starting fees will be refunded equally among the horses eligible at the time the race is declared off.
5. All starters must be declared in by 10:00 AM three days prior to the date of race, excluding Sundays. All eligible will be notified of the exact date and place of the race before March 15 of the 2-year-old year. Upon 2-year-old payment on March 15, name, sex, and color of colt or filly must be given.
6. In the case of postponement due to adverse weather or other unavoidable causes, races shall be postponed to the next approved race date in accordance with the rules of the APHRC and the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency. In the event it is impossible to race this event for any reason whatsoever, all money received will be divided equally among the horses eligible at the time the race is declared off.
7. Horse Racing New Brunswick is not liable and assumes no responsibility for loss by fire, theft or accident of or to persons, animals, equipment, or vehicles on the premises owned or leased or controlled by said Horse Racing New Brunswick. Use of grounds, track, or buildings thereon, owned, leased or controlled by Horse Racing New Brunswick shall be at the risk of the owners or persons, and is assumed in full by any of them on their own behalf and/or behalf of their servants, agents, or employees.
8. All races are conducted and governed by the rules and regulations of Standardbred Canada, the Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency, and the Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission, and or their successors.
9. All owners of horses participating in the program must be a current member of the New Brunswick Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association Inc. ($20 per year) DUE when nomination or sustaining eligible horses to the program. Payable to NBSBOA Inc. 427-32 Fairlane Dr., Moncton, NB, E0A 0B5.
10. Nominating and sustaining payments referred to under these conditions to be forwarded to Standardbred Canada. Memberships are to be forwarded to NBSBOA Inc. All envelopes must be clearly post-marked no later than the indicated payment date as posted in these conditions. Notice: Reference date for payments in these conditions are post-mark dates, if any of the described dates fall on a weekend or holiday, postmark can be no later than the next business day following. Standardbred Canada will forward on your behalf a list outlining each nominator, his/her current address, name of foal, sire, dam, age and colour.
