The owner(s) of a horse declared to start in an MBA event shall be liable to pay the starting fees for that race whether or not the horse starts and failure to do so will result in suspension from MBA participation for all horses owned in whole or in part by any owner(s) so liable until the required payment is made.

ELIMINATIONS: If required, elimination races will be held no more than seven days prior to the respective final event. In no case shall two year olds be required to race in an elimination race less than six days prior to the final. Elimination races are necessary when there are more entries declared in than can be accommodated in one heat at the host track according to the rules of the APHRC. A portion of the total respective funds available shall be used for elimination race purses. Such amount shall be determined by the MBA.

FINAL EVENTS: Eight (8) starters will be eligible for final events as determined on the basis of best finishing position in the respective elimination races, except that, in the event of a tie, the best time shall be used. Where times are equal, finalists will be determined by lot. Also eligibles shall be determined on the same basis.
