A purse schedule and seven late-closing fall events have been announced for Cal-Expo's 'Watch and Wager' harness meet that is set to get underway on Friday, November 2.
“The opening purse schedule is based on $41,500 per race night,” said the track's director of racing, Fred Kuebler. “The condition sheet has only three classes below $3,000. A much more extensive late-closing schedule covering December to May will be released in early October.”
The barn area and main track are now open at Cal-Expo. The meeting is scheduled to run through May 11, with Friday and Saturday programs until December 22, then Thursday, Friday and Saturday racing through the remainder of the stand.
