Hollywood Dayton Raceway has announced it will offer a text alert system to keep trainers and owners apprised of daily developments at the new track.
Included in the text alerts will be timely notifications of class condition changes, classes being combined, classes that did not fill, classes carried over or added to the next draw, classes remaining open to get fuller fields, weather updates when significant enough to cause concern.
To get on the list to receive the text alerts, horsemen need to text to: 55000, and then type the word: Dayton (in the message area), then hit send. You will receive a welcome notice that asks you to reply with your first and last name, then you are on the list. If you do not have an unlimited text plan, text charges could apply. You can opt out at any time.
“This is a valuable communications tool that can keep trainers better informed about key information they need and want. Especially at ship-in only facilities, it is a great option to get key information disseminated as quickly as possible,” said Race Secretary Gregg Keidel.
