The Standardbred Horse Sales Company has posted the 2013 Black Book 1 Yearling Sale catalogue on its website.
Prospective yearling buyers can download the catalog and other handy PDF packets, or create and track yearling lists with the "My Black Book" program. A new innovation is the use of QR codes on individual yearling pages that will immediately link your SmartPhone or iPad to yearling videos when available.
Download a “QR reader” application from your SmartPhone’s “App Store”, and scan the QR code on the printed catalogue page with your Smart Phone; the yearling video will soon appear! This handy innovation makes it possible to watch yearling videos anywhere.
This year’s Harrisburg Sale proudly presents 1,097 fabulous yearlings, including 39 by dominant pacing sire Somebeachsomewhere, and first-year sires Rock N Roll Heaven (37), Sportswriter (37), Lucky Chucky (32), and Art Colony (4). There are 38 yearlings that are siblings to racehorses with earnings of over $1,000,000; 43 yearlings are siblings to World Champions.
