Trot Insider has learned that horseman Jim Baillie, Sr. of Random Farm in London, Ontario passed away peacefully at home the morning of Wednesday, September 28
.
Baillie was an active member of the harness racing business, as he bred, raised and raced horses for the past five decades.
In the most recent years, Baillie campaigned the pacer Random Dreamer, a winner of an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold elimination in 2007, as well as co-breeding 2010 O'Brien Award winner Random Destiny with his son Jim Baillie, Jr. and Rick Grenier.
Visitation will take place Friday, September 30 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and a service will take place Saturday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Funeral Home, 1997 Dundas St, E London.
