Bidders at the the upcoming Lexington Selected Yearling Sale will have the opportunity to bid on one unusual horse.
A horse sculpture, fashioned by a Danville, Kentucky artist from nearly 1,000 repurposed scrap metal parts, will be auctioned on Tuesday, October 6 at Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky, to benefit the Harness Horse Youth Foundation. The sculpture will be sold just prior to the start of the second night of the sale.
The sculpture stands 31 inches from hoof to withers; 55 inches from hoof to tip of ear and 45 inches long from nose to tail and will be available for inspection at Barn 10 (Brittany Farms) beginning Friday, October 2 at noon.
