Just over three months remain in the 2016 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest with a tight race among the top three stables.
Mark Lee of Port Perry, Ont. boasts the highest earning stable with a $5.8-million bankroll. His TKB stable is fronted by pacing powerhouses Betting Line, Wiggle It Jiggleit and Always B Miki.
A pair of U.S-based stables are not far off the pacesetter. Dennis O'Hara of Lackawanna, N.Y., and his And They're Off stable sport a $5.78-million total with Wellington, Florida's Karen Revington just back in third with her Crank er Up stable at $5.74 million.
The Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 20 and December 31, 2016. For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2016 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus.
At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2017 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
