Trot Insider has learned that horseman William 'Bill' Williams of Bottineau, North Dakota passed away on Saturday, September 19 after a brief illness. Williams, who competed on the Manitoba and Saskatchewan circuit for many years, was 81 at the time of his passing
.
Williams came from a racing family, as his father and two brothers also raced harness horses. A few of the horses he raced were Lordsberg, JJs Pride and Alcars Fireballer.
Williams was a big supporter of racing meets in Bottineau for several years.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 24 at the First Lutheran Church on Main Street in Bottineau.
