The entries for the $130,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold final to be contested Sunday, September 27 at Rideau Carleton Raceway have been corrected on the 'entries' page of the Standardbred Canada website after a data entry error at Rideau
.
"The post positions for the race were drawn in the paddock, but two of those post positions were incorrectly entered," Terry Lantz, Rideau Carleton Raceway's director of racing, explained to Trot Insider.
Two-year-old pacing colt Stonebridge Tonic, trained by Gregg McNair and driven by Doug McNair, drew Post 6, but had been entered into the computer as having drawn Post 5.
Freshman Camluck colt Toughest Of All, trained by Duane Marfisi and to be driven by Paul MacDonell, drew Post 5, but had been entered to the computer as having drawn Post 6.
Lantz told Trot Insider that the connections of the respective horses have been notified of the error, which has since been rectified.
The SC entries page for Sunday, September 27 at Rideau now reflects the correction, displaying Toughest Of All to start from Post 5 and Stonebridge Tonic in Post 6.
