AGCO Licence Renewals Go Paperless

Published: September 20, 2019 02:17 pm EDT

Starting in March 2020, the AGCO will no longer be accepting paper forms, cash or cheques for horse racing-related licences and registrations.

All AGCO licence renewals and applications must be processed online, with payment by Visa, MasterCard, Interac Online, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit.

This change will affect all horsepersons including owners, agents, trainers, grooms, hotwalkers, jockeys, drivers, association officials, tradespersons, and vets.

Prior to your licence renewal date, you will be mailed an access code to set up your online account. This means it is important you make sure that the AGCO has your current mailing address. If you need to update your information, call AGCO Customer service during business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST) at 416-326-8700 or toll free in Ontario at 1-800-522-2876.

The following will also move to online processing:

  • Claiming Certificates

  • Estate/Trust Licences

  • Stable Licences

  • Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse Lease and Partnership Registrations

You can find more information about the online service, called iAGCO, and payment options on the AGCO website.
