Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action heats up again this weekend when the two year-old pacing colts and fillies roll into Northside Downs. A total of eight Atlantic Sires Stakes divisions will be featured on the Saturday afternoon race card at the North Sydney track.
Saturday’s events will be the final opportunity for the two-year-old colts to earn points for entry into the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championship. Meanwhile the two-year-old fillies will face off in their final event next weekend in Saint John, NB.
This year’s Atlantic Breeders Crown Weekend of Champions will be hosted by Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park from October 5th to 7th. The weekend includes the Atlantic Sires Stakes championships and consolations, as well as the Atlantic Classic Yearling Sale and the Breeders Crown banquet honoring a year of excellence in Atlantic Canadian harness racing.
