The 21st edition of Monticello Raceway’s Little Grey Jug, the race for grey and roan pacers, has been drawn and will head to post at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday
, September 20.
Trigger Finger has been favoured for the race, despite having to start from Post 8. The three-year-old grey gelding is heading in to the event off a 1:52.2 victory in the Stan Bergstein Pace at Plainridge Raceway on September 5.
Trained by Leonard LeBlanc for owners Noella LeBlanc and Don Emond, Trigger Finger will be shipping in to race from Massachusetts. Although, Trigger Finger is not alone, as most of the other competitors will be trucking in from out of town. LeBlanc has tapped Bruce Aldrich, Jr. to perform the driving duties.
The other horses which will be contesting the event are the race's defending champion, Jaguar Jet, Caidens Colt, Sowhatsyourpoint, Lillywhites, Get Well, Roan Shark and Big Rueben.
The Little Grey Jug will head to post for Race 5 during the track's 13-race card. First-race post time will be the usual 12:50 p.m.
