Grand River Raceway is known for fun & frivolity on race nights, and the National Driving Championship on Wednesday, September 26 won’t be any different with loads on tap for racing fans.

Upon arrival, racing fans can meet and mingle with the eight competing drivers in the NDC. If you’re one of the first 500 to purchase a racing program, you’ll receive a souvenir Ontario Racing / NDC hat, courtesy of Ontario Racing.

How would you like to win $1,000? Enter the “Choose The Champ” contest! Sponsored by Grand River Raceway and Ontario Racing, all you need to do is complete a ballot (ballots will be in the race program) and put it in the ballot box of the driver you think will win the NDC. The winning driver will draw the Grand Prize winner at the end of the NDC races.

To add to the fun, The I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club has a couple of on-track contests and an online handicapping contest for the NDC.

Racing fans who are coming out to Grand River are invited to make a sign to use to cheer on your favourite driver! Register at the Fan Club desk and show them your sign and you’ll have a chance to win a $100 betting voucher! (You don’t need to be a Fan Club member to enter.)

You won’t want to miss out on the Fan Club photo contest. Take a photo of any of the NDC action that night and post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #NDC18 and you’ll have a chance to win a $50 gift card to the racetrack of your choice and a $50 swag package. Deadline to enter is Thursday, Sept. 27 at noon. (You don’t need to be a Fan Club member to enter.)

The Fan Club will also be offering a Pick 8 contest to pick the winners of the eight NDC races that night. The person who scores the most points will win a $50 gift card and a $50 swag package. The Pick 8 will be posted on standardbredcanada.ca and open for entry on Sunday, September 23.

Racing action for the NDC gets underway at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26.
In the meantime, keep up to date with news, and racing action for your favourite NDC driver through the Driver Tracker!
