John Coughlin Passes

It has been reported that trainer John Coughlin, the brother of the New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, passed away during the evening of Monday, September 16 at the age of 63.

In addition to training horses, John also owned and operated Coughlin’s Stables in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

A report by northjersey.com states that visitation services will be Monday, September 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Doran’s Funeral Home in Seneca Falls, NY. A funeral mass has been set for Tuesday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Waterloo, NY.

The article goes on to state that in lieu of flowers, the Coughlin family has requested that donations be made in John’s memory to the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund.
