The Red Mile has announced that it is proud to host a $20,000 Trotting Monte race during the afternoon of Sunday, September 30.
Entries will be taken on Monday, September 24 at the Red Mile race office by 10:00 a.m. The racing secretary is Billy Perkins and the telephone numbers are 859-258-7670 or 258-7623.
All riders must have a current RUS license from the United States Trotting Association and must provide their own horse. All horses racing are required to have a recent negative coggins test and EHV vaccination.
The race will have 10 horses. If more than 10 horses are entered the race will be an open draw by lot. The purse will be divided as follows (in terms of percents): 50-25-12-8-5. In addition, a $200 gift certificate will be awarded to the winning rider from Finntack.
The race will be conducted between Race 5 and Race 6 on Sunday. For further information, please call the Red Mile race office.
