Horseman Garnet 'Bud' Gibson of Leamington, Ont. passed away Wednesday, September 16 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. The owner, trainer and driver of standardbreds was 95 at the time of his passing

Garnet, a grandfather of four, was the husband of the late Beatrice and father of Joan Kurth of Florida, Shirley Murphy of Tennessee, and Gary Gibson of Michigan.
Visitation is taking place Friday, September 18 at the Hammond Funeral Home, 318 Erie Street South, Leamington (519-326-8423) from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at Erie Memorial Gardens in Leamington on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
