Mark and Teri Williams are sad to report that their former open pacer Stonebridge Storm has passed away at the age of 24.

Purchased from the Robert Mcintosh stable in 2001, Stonebridge Storm raced until 2011, primarily under the care of Mark and Teri, competing in 338 races with 39 wins 40 seconds and 56 thirds earning $334,757 in purses and establishing a pacing record of 1.54.

There was never a question that “Stormy” would live out the rest of his life under the care of Mark and Teri when done his racing career. For the past ten years “Storm” has lived a well-deserved life of leisure on the farm.

“Storm was a wonderful horse for our family and we were able to enjoy him for over 20 years,” stated Mark. “He lived a great life and at 24 years old we knew that it was inevitable that we would be losing him but it’s still a sad day for everyone that had become attached to him over the last 20 years.”

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Stonebridge Storm.
